Hi, I'm Samantha!
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor, and I'm here to support teens and college students who are dealing with ongoing challenges. My primary goal is to help you shift away from dwelling on the negatives and start making real progress towards your goals.
My Journey To Becoming A Therapist
I'm just like the clients I work with – human. I've had my fair share of both great and tough times, and they've shaped who I am and how I can assist you.
As I reflect on my past, I remember wishing I had someone like me to guide me through my journey with stress and anxiety when I was younger. I faced all sorts of somatic issues, from stomach aches to headaches. It was during those times that I realized my passion for helping others, especially teens and college students. Those years are still fresh in my memory, and I know what it's like. Through my journey, I discovered that therapy can be incredibly powerful and helpful. That's why I'm here, excited to continue this work that I'm passionate about.
It's my life experiences that have truly shaped me into the therapist I am today.
Helping People Is What I Look Forward To Every Day
Being a therapist is an honor. It's truly fulfilling to help people become healthier and more empowered, all while watching their lives flourish. What makes this journey most rewarding is celebrating your progress.
I'm dedicated to helping you make strides toward your goals.
I Have A Strong Pull Towards Bringing Supportive And Encouraging Energy To Sessions
I have a natural ability to:
Understand people's experiences
Help people feel comfortable
Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them
Be flexible on the path of discovering what's going on
People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can sit with people at their worst and hear them when they are in that space.
Our Sessions Are Focused On You
Sessions will provide you with the space to be understood and heard. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to gain clarity and feel what you need to feel.
It's important to me to ensure that the process is collaborative. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
As A Therapist, I Embrace The Following Philosophies
You are worthy of love and care
We only heal if we take care of ourselves
Therapy works when both of us are committed to your healing
Taking care of yourself is the most generous thing you can do for the world
